In my work, I intervene in the act of copying, which leads me to consider the relationship between originals, copies, fakes, and value. A piece of paper with lines and doodles written on is usually discarded as trash. However, to me, the test writings on that paper are a collection of originals that "someone drew at that moment," and they have immeasurable value. Even though it's the same piece of paper, bills, lottery tickets, or winning horse betting tickets hold a certain value for everyone. No one would throw them away like trash. However, bills are just pieces of paper if they are from a different country or era. If a country collapses, their value fluctuates wildly, and the portraits of the great people may be defaced with doodles. Bills are copies that everyone holds, yet they must not be fakes. A horse betting ticket becomes either trash or a winning ticket the moment the race is over. The scene where paper confetti of worthless tickets dances in the air of the spectator stands is beautiful.

In the digital world, anonymity, originals, copies, fakes, and fiction cœxist, and sometimes fakes and fiction proliferate naturally to create something new. Cryptocurrencies, which may replace traditional money, have already transcended national boundaries. The material presence of human activity is becoming less, and it's turning into a flat world where tactile traces are hard to find. However, the technology to acquire cryptocurrencies is named "mining," evoking a sense of adventure, and it seems that digital footprints and identification are essential for individuals and companies to build and manage assets online. Even in the digital world, by following certain traces and peeking into the disposal sites of information and signals, we might see a landscape of human activities more thrilling than anything we could imagine in the real world.
